SNICKERDOODLES

Kathy Baldwin, Vic Baldwin, Recipe #19 (mom’s recipe)

1 cup soft shortening (part butter)
2 tsp. cream of tarter
1 ½ cups sugar
1 tsp. soda
2 eggs
1/4 tsp. salt
2 3/4 cups flour

Heat oven to 400 °. Mix shortening, sugar and eggs.
Blend all dry ingredients, stir in.
Roll into balls the size of a small walnut.
Roll in mixture of 2 Tbsp. sugar and 2 tsp. cinnamon.

Bake 8 - 10 min. Makes about 5 doz.
